MSA1510i Default Stripe Size

I have an MSA30 with 12 300GB Drives that is attached to an MSA1510i. The Drives are configured as one array. I am setting up Logical Drives using the SMU on the MSA1510i. I am using RAID 6 (ADG) and the default stripe size comes up as 16K. I did some looking and I find some indication that a bigger stripe Size is better. I setup a few logical drives and tested some simple copies. The results are inconsistent. Does anyone have a good suggestions on this or should I just accept the default.
