MSA2000 Host Interfaces
When the host interfaces were configured in an MSA2312fc, the following configuration was put into production:
Port A1 (FC): Speed 2GB Connection Mode: loop
Port A2 (FC): Speed 4GB Connection Mode: point-to-point
Port B1 (FC): Speed 4GB Connection Mode: point-to-point
Port B2 (FC): Speed 4GB Connection Mode: point-to-point
My concern is the way Port A1 is configured different than the rest. The MSA2312fc is connected to HP SAN switches.
I did try to change it, but when I hit APPLY it reverted back to 2GB, Loop. Any thoughts?

Re: MSA2000 Host Interfaces
Check to make sure that this connection at the SAN switch side is configured correctly. Ideally, hard coded to 4GB, F-Port and that the port is enabled and persistent enable is also on.

Re: MSA2000 Host Interfaces
HI,
First check the physical conneciton to the port A1 to other end.
It seems this port A1 is connected as loop topology.Hence it shows mode:loop 2GB
when i see other ports u mention point-to-point.So the other ports are directly connected to the HOST(from MSA to Host HBA)
SO the connection from A1 is in loop device with 2GB connected.Hence possible may show 2GB.Pls explain the connection made.
