MSA2000 snapshot via SSU-like application?
I am just about ready to get our snapshot solution in place to make backups of our MSA2000 with the Snapshot LTU.
With the EVA I am used to using the SSU to make script and add them to the pre-backup scripts. For the MSA there does not seem to be a SSU-similar tool, I can only find the following entry in the CLI manual for the MSA2000:
"CLI commands can also be scripted using a telnet client like Expect or a Perl
library. Scripts can use interactive mode to execute single commands to emulate a
single-command mode." http://www13.itrc.hp.com/service/cki/docDisplay.do?docLocale=en&docId=emr_na-c01505833-1
Is this the only way to script snapshots from a RHEL host? Is there an SSU similar application to do this?
Kind Regards,
Robert

Re: MSA2000 snapshot via SSU-like application?
From what I have seen of the MSA2000fc there is no over-the-SAN management option for the device, hence no SSU or ACU type application for it.
The only way to manage it is through its network interface (web, telnet, SSH etc). So you are stuck using the type of programs that the CLI reference guide mentions
