Anyway... I know NetApps doesn't support SANs. They only support their own, specific configurations.
If you're not concerned about support and want to try...
The problem is no doubt the QLogic driver. I am pretty sure that they would have disabled (removed) any features that they don't need from the driver - they don't need Fabric mode.
You could try to install a newer version of the driver - the FreeBSD version might work (NetApps is based on FreeBSD) - but it depends on how much NetApps modified the kernel. You would also have to figure out how to either dynamically load the driver or rebuild their kernel.
Dynamically loading the driver might be possible, but I think it's highly unlikely that you would be able to relink their kernel.
