New disk enclosure on EVA6400 numbering out of sequence
I have just added a couple of new drive enclsoures to an EVA6400, the first enclsoure went onto loop1 and was numbered enclsoure 7 as expected, the second enclosure went onto loop2 and already had a number 18 assigned to it (second hand enclosure) , hence when connecting in this enclsoure it updated the firmware on the IO modules but did not renumber the enclosure.
Both new enclsoures currently have no disks in them yet, so i thought it the ideal time to ask the question can i renumber the enclosure from 18 to 8 as i would expect to see?
I know it makes no difference but it just looks strange in CV to see enclsoure 18!
Regards
Jeff

Re: New disk enclosure on EVA6400 numbering out of sequence
There is no way to manually set the numbers , as these are auto assigned by the controller.
HP Document id c01911829 confirms this. This document can be searched from HPSC Knowledgebase with document id.
