New Disk in EVA4400 Showing Reduced Capacity
Install 8 new 2TB FATA disks in an EVA4400. All firmware is up to date - Controllers, SAN Switches, Disks, Command View.
Capacity should be 8 disks - 1 = 14TB capacity.
However, commandview is only should a capacity of 9,934GB.
Is this screenshot right for 8 x 2TB disks….??
P.S. This thread has been moved from General to Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise). - Hp Forum Moderator

I get: 8 * 2 marketing TB as 14.55 computer TB or 14,901 GB.

I'm not sure where that 9,934 comes from?

Re: New Disk in EVA4400 Showing Reduced Capacity
Disk drive protection == single.
This actually reserves the equivalent of two disks - 4TB in your case.
