Not in my case. I was not able to write to these volumes from Linux perspective. Maybe, it has to do with the RAID configurations or something. However, once the surface scan completed, I was able to fdisk/parted to these volumes.

I am new with this MSAs environment and still learning. I also had HP tech support stumped as well.

It sounds more like a driver or OS issue. When I get the opportunity, I'll try to build your configuration, then capture a Fibre trace.

In the mean time, I'll ask a couple of my lab guys if they have experienced your problem.
