NSM160 and CIFS shares

I have 5 NSM160s clustered (4TB) total of usable space....

I'm on version 8.1.x and would like to know if there is a way to create a CIFS share (non iscsi based) volume and not connect volume to a server, instead have it run solo 9server free) and directly connect via CIFS shareing.

Is this possible?
Please advise.
