Oracle Cluster File System usability with Snapshot on EVA3000
Hi all,
I have been told that EVA3000 Snapshot will work with any file system. However when i present a Snapshot of a Vdisk which is using Oracle Cluster File System to a server, the server does not know how to read the Snapshot disk. I have already tried presenting the original Vdisk to this server and it can read the contents without a problem.
Am i doing something wrong ?

Re: Oracle Cluster File System usability with Snapshot on EVA3000
You can even take a snapshot of a virtual disk when there is no file system on it...
This is a block-level snapshot and the EVA does not care about the contents of the virtual disk.
The snapshot is a 'crash-consistent' copy of the parent virtual disk. Is it possible that some kind of recovery is necessary before you can properly mount the snapshot? Is the Oracle Cluster File System even suitable for this kind of operation?
