Oracle -Data Protector
Can data protector tak backup of raw devices ?
if yes is there a need for Oracle RMAN ?
How does RMAN provides any advantage?
How to integrate HP data protector with Oracle and other things ....

The Data Protector imlemetation in Oracle is based on RMAn, so yes, RMAN is needed.
DP does not care if you are using a filesystem or raw disks underneath Oracl!
The only limitation I am aware of is the following:
You cannot restore SAP R/3 tablespaces that are located on raw partitions using the Data Protector GUI. Instead, use SAP R/3 restore
tools (for example, brrestore).
