P6300 Thin Provisioning and WS2012

Just checked the compatibility between P6300 FC and WS2012 x64 with SPOCK. On General Operating System Notes I find: "Thin Provisioning not supported with Windows Server 2012".

Anyone knows why? Is simply a question of time (more testing of thin provisioning with WS2012 is necessary ...) or there are solid reasons for this lack of support?

Just to know what to say to customers who bought P6300 one year ago ...

Same question posted on HP Storage Linkedin Group. I received this reply from an HP Technical Staff Senior member:

Barry Maskas • Thin provisioned LUNS is not the support problem. Additional features in WS2012 for managing Thin LUNs is not yet fully supported in P6000 firmware.

Alberto Lambertini • Thank you Barry. So we should expect to have WS2012 fully supported in a next P6000 firmware? Any idea for the release date?

Barry Maskas • Sorrybut I don'tknow the public release or controlled release dates.
