Problem on HP-Brocade FC San-switch
switch is operating but no more managable.
web connection tells:503 Server Busy
Try again later.
telnet connection: prompts for login, after entering username and password no prompt is shown.
serial connection looks like telnet connection. Difference is, that telnet connection login tries can be repeated, on serial interface gets stuck in login process.
Is there a possibility to reset web service or serial connection?

Re: Problem on HP-Brocade FC San-switch
I haven't seen separate web or serial connection restart. In my opinion you must have quite heavy traffic on your switch. If it was this way before the problem rised and you was able to use web interface then maybe there are some things eating up switches CPU power. Did you upgrade software or what was done before that problem?

Re: Problem on HP-Brocade FC San-switch
This seems to occur occasionally especially if you have early versions of FW. The management module hangs, the only fix I know is to reboot the switch, easy if you have dual redundant switches.

Re: Problem on HP-Brocade FC San-switch
Hello Madis, Hello Kevin
there is no excessive traffik on this device.
the problem started when saving zoning (added one 2-port zone) configuration (not activating ). got no success commitment.
rebooting the switch ended in a useless device. Ports did not come up again.
maybe flash died.
The switch will be replaced by HP
