QLogic FCA Serial Number from HPCC?

I have written my own utility to extract the info I find interesting from the HPCC XML data.

I've recently upgraded the Qlogic FCA device drivers in some of our c-Class blade servers to v9.1.7.17. the HPCC output for those servers now append the QLogic Adapter's serial # to the manufacturer name and report the Adapter's serial number as A00000. Earlier version of this device driver "properly" reported the serial # under the tag.

I don't know if the the right place to ask this, but should this be considered a "bug", or is this the intended behavior??
