Question about item in release notes for the M110R28 MS2000fc firmware
The firmware release notes for the new M110R28 firmware for the MSA2312fc have this note in them:
***********************
Issue: Changes to default Fibre Channel HBA driver parameters are required for proper controller failover.
• Workaround: The Fibre Channel HBA parameters were omitted from the MSA2000 G2 documentation.
For controller failover to function properly, change the default driver parameters as follows:
• QLogic — Port Down Retry Count = 60, Link Down Timeout = 60
• Emulex — LinkTimeOut = 60, NodeTimeOut = 60
***********************
My question is, does this only apply to dual-port HBAs, and where would I set those values anyway? I don't see where I'm supposed to do that.

Re: Question about item in release notes for the M110R28 MS2000fc firmware
Which OS are you running?
In Linux you set it in /etc/modprobe.conf.local
For example QLogic would be something like this:
options qla2xxx qlport_down_retry=60 ql2xloginretrycount=60
In Linux you set it in /etc/modprobe.conf.local
For example QLogic would be something like this:
options qla2xxx qlport_down_retry=60 ql2xloginretrycount=60

Sorry, should have mentioned that - it's Windows Server 2008 R2.
