RA4100 to MSA1000
Hello Guys!
Is there any documentation on how to upgrade and configure RA4100 to MSA 1000 by using new SCSI HDD and not migrating the old hdd from RA4100. I can only find docs. which relate to DTS(direct attach to SAN) using the old HDD but not using a new hdd to be used by the MSA 1000. Thanks!

Re: RA4100 to MSA1000
I'm not sure what you are asking for...
If you are just installing new drives in the MSA1000, follow the installation instructions for new drives.
If you want to move the drives from the RA4100 into the MSA1000, but not keep the data or RAID configuration, I would suggest deleting the configuration in the RA4100 first, then moving the drives.
If you have further questions, post more.
Good luck,
Vince

Re: RA4100 to MSA1000
Hai Gerry,
I also didn't sure about your question,
if you want to move data from RA4100 to MSA1000, you can use robocopy for data transfer
by the way, could you help to send DAS to SAN migrate document to me, we have a plan to implement SAN solution in the next 4 months
thanks and regards,
Ario
