My questions are;
1) Any one out there that has had problems with some of the services where they had to reboot their SMA, or restart their Command View service?
2) What did you do to resolve the issue in #1? Do you have a NT scheduled task to restart the server or the service, or what other means did you go by to resolve the corrupt service?
Thx in advance,
Andy

Re: Restart EVA 5K services
Sometimes it is necessary to give the system a little time ;-)
as a HP support person once said: "no power clicking"

Re: Restart EVA 5K services
just be sure¨not to restart services, while some automatic sssu task is processed.
I'm doing automatic NT scheduled restart of CV services for XP array and everything works fine.
On EVA I've experienced strange behavior only when two sssu tasks or users worked concurently.

Re: Restart EVA 5K services
We really had issues with SSSU when we would do a specific show lun on any lun that was already being deleted, or do a show lun on a lun within a disk group where a lun was being deleted (reguardless of whether the lun was active, being deleted, or not present).
I appreciate the comments that I have received thus far.
Thx

SolutionWe do lots of SSSU LUN unpresents and snapshot deletions every day (admittedly not snapclone/vdisk family deletions), and don't normally have to restart nsa services.
All the HP support people I've ever talked to about this, and all the stuff I've ever read recommend not to run multiple concurrent CV/EVA sessions, and that includes SSSU. Kind of a pain, but better than the pain of ignoring this advice!
