Retaining zone info when removing principle switches
Hi,
Original SAN consisted of EVA 5000 with two 2/32 M-series switches as Principle switches. Two new 4/32 B-series switches were added in Interop mode as subordinate switches along with an EVA8100 and then, twelve 4/24 switches were added with c-class enclosures and connected to the 4/32 switches. All zoning is done on the McData switches and zones do not appear on the Brocades.
We are ready to retire the McData's from the SAN and my question is how to retain all of the zone info if the 4/32 Brocades are changed to Principle and the McData's removed. There are about 40 zones on each switch, so I'm hoping that they won't have to be manually entered on the Brocades.
The McDatas show the Domain ID as 1 with the other switches as 2 - 9.
The Brocades show the domain ID as 97 for the McData and 98 - 105 for the Brocades.
Thanks.
