RSM -to- Command View Relationship
Running an EVA8k using Command View 6 and RSM 2 with Business Copy license. The prior steward of this rig indicated RSM was not used (or unusable) after initial installation and not used - until now. At recommendation from support, RSM was reinstalled as per doc without issues.
When we fire up RSM on the SMS, no problems noted. Logging in as administrator with authentication from the network ... no problems. We select the only management server available (local host)... Great! However it's current state is 'FAILED' so of course we do not see current hosts, virtual disks, etc.
I validated in properties on that server the agent is administrator (no change option here) and re-entered the password in the event it was incorrect. No change.
So what am I missing?

Re: RSM -to- Command View Relationship
That's a very old version of RSM, have you though about updating it to a more recent one?
In the compatibility tables I see that RSM 2.1 is compatible with Command View 6 and XCS 6.1xx or previous.
Check the RSM server configuration, that the management server address and password are correctly defined.

>> That's what was available in local kits and was purported to work based on local HP installation at this site; 2.1 is not available for download from HP.

>> I have found a 3.0 kit here which should work with XCS 6.1.xx per compatability matrix.
Check the RSM server configuration, that the management server address and password are correctly defined.
>> THe management server address is seen as Local, preset on the configuration screen, which is where is RSM is installed. As noted the password was re-entered for username administrator which also seems to predifined on the configuration screen.
