running ibm's sdd on hpux
we're installed sdd on our v2500 11.0 hp system and are having problems converting LVM to use the vpaths. Error message "vgextend: Couldn't open physical volume /dev/rdsk/vpathxx I/O error". Does anyone know of any hpux pathces related to using sdd? Thanks,
no one knows as much as all of us!

Re: running ibm's sdd on hpux
Make sure that you can see IBM disks by running the following:
ioscan -fnC disk
insf -e
ioscan -fnC disk |grep IBM
If you can see then you need to check for dependent patches for SDD. Look in the README file or HPUX-INSTALL file.
