I am new to SANsurfer software, and dont have much knowledge of it. I am having problems using it on my environment. I have downloaded sansurfer2.0.30b58 for Windows and installed in on one of my servers. I would like to remotley get information of my HBA's, but when I try to connect to a host it keeps giving me an error that "cannot connect to host". I have found the reason to this fault as someting to do with remote agent (qlremote) not found on host.
I have the manual for the software but it mentions nothing of how to install agents!
In the software package there is no option to install only agents, I would need to install agents and gui! So do I have to install on each server I would like to monitor HBA with this option? Quite silly...beats the idea of remote access.
Can someone tell me how do I install this agent.
Albert

Re: SAN surfer software
So this software cannot connect to host remotely?
And installing it on each server is the only way to monitor fibre devices in my environment?

Re: SAN surfer software
The problem is that the screenshot provided by Stephen is of a different version than the one that I have(see attach). I have choosen custom option during my setup but no option to install agent.
Now that I know a that with the version Stephen has you can install this agent, the next question as I asked in my earlier response is where can I get this software to download from?
Thnx,
Albert
