Scheduling BC job
Hi,
Windows 2000, EVA5000 with Business Copy.
I want to create 3 snapshots of a vdisk per day. The first snapshot of next day will be created after deleting the first snapshot of current day, same as the second and the third one. How to schedule BC job to do this ?
Can we do with BC GUI only or SSSU is better?

Re: Scheduling BC job
Hello Hanh,
BC-EVA V2.3 includes a job scheduler. You can also start predefined BC jobs from the host by using the 'EVMCL'[*] utility. And of course, you can use SSSU to create and delete snapshots.
Most operating systems have a built in scheduler, too, so that you can run EVMCL or SSSU at a predefined time. I suggest that you 'play' with this a little bit so that you can find out which utility is the best for YOU.
[*] EVMCL is short for 'Enterprise Volume Manager Command Line utility'. EVM was the previous product name. Documentation for EVMCL is a bit, erm, weak. As far as I know it is only available in the web GUI.

Re: Scheduling BC job
Thanks Uwe.
I just download BC v2.3 and will take a look at help page.
