Secure Path 3.0C install.sh problem

hi,

last time I noticed that the installation script for SP3.0C is not working. I try it on itanium2 with RHAS2.1(64bit), but the issue is there are 2 lines of the script, install.sh, under /etc/CPQswsp/ins/, which result 2 errors, 1st: bc: command not found and 2nd: ',' unexpected. Since this is a shell script I can see that 'bc' is only a command and there is no 'bc' command and the 2nd is bad syntax for 'sed' argument/parameter. I've tried to fix but noluck (kinda confuse too) but the I can see that script is vital to put the right command to load correct secure path modules inside rc.sysinit. I'd love to have this install.sh w/o problem bcause I did put the line by myself by comparing what the right command it done into the error rc.sysinit (i assumed, had put it just before LVM initialization lines) but still have no work.

I read that just after install the secure path and reboot, /dev/spdev should contain the link of any LUNs had been connected (the HBA is already see the LUN), but i didnt see any link at all.

so my problem are 2. first, the install.sh doesnt work well, since it changes the rc.sysinit, it always make the server hang (boot unproperly, no access to keyboard and mouse since itanium2(rx) is using usb which have not initialized yet), and second is if, eventhough the script works well and it put the right command into rc.sysinit, it probably still wont load the modules neither create the links.

please help.
thks.

Re: Secure Path 3.0C install.sh problem

Try updating your install from the update kit from here
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/softwaredrivers/securepath/splinuxv30c.html

Else ask for the correct version of the S/w from your HP Account Representative. This issue has been fixed.

Hope this helps
