Re: Secure Path 4.0
Hi Patrizio.
Ok, there are a couple of key pieces for SecurePath Manager to function from your San Management Appliance properly.
1. hostname resolution is a must. If the san management appliance cannot ping your servers by name, then you'll never see them show up in SecurePath Manager.
2. Securepath agent passwords all need to be the same if all the servers will be in the same profile. for testing, start with something simple, like make a couple of server's securepath agent passwords the word "secure". Then go in and create a new profile on securepath manager and add those servers with the password "secure" and see if that works.
3. make sure you are running the right version of the java runtime environment. It's weird, but there are so many different versions, and it seems like securepath manager is VERY picky as to which one it uses. To ensure you have the right one, use the version that comes on the Manager CD...under client tools.
Hope this information helps.
Sincerely,
Brian Plume

Re: Secure Path 4.0
Dear Brain,
But if the system has only one path to HSG80 and no secure path, how do I connect the SAN appliance?
