Secure Path 4.0c Authentication error

I have successfully installed Secure Path 4.0c, but when I try to create a profile in Secure Path Manager, I receive an error message:

"Authentication error with the following host(s):"

And my host is listed.

There is a corresponding event in the application log:

Unauthorized attempt to access Secure Path Agent from IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Any help would greately be apriciated.

Re: Secure Path 4.0c Authentication error

When you install Secure Path, you can enter a password, my guess is that you didn't enter a password or that the password is different from the password you are using in your Secure Path Manager profile.
You can change the password on the client with the Secure Path Agent Configuration Utility.

Re: Secure Path 4.0c Authentication error

Thanks Per Berg... that was exactly the problem.

I guess I should have said that the process I did was to install 3.x of secure path and then upgrade to 4.0c. Because I never ran the 3.x version, I was never prompted for a password and I think that the 4.0c upgrade does not prompt for a password (but I'm not totally sure). Anyway, all I had to do was run the SecurePathCFG program and set a password.... worked perfect after this.

Thanks again
