Secure path and Veritas DPM co-existance on Solaris 8
Hi all,
We have a Solaris system connected to EVA, and using secure path for path management software.
We also have a SUN T3 that is currently laying idle. We use SUN VxVM.
Since Secure path does not support SUN T3, I am wondering whether I can connect our T3 to Solaris system, together with EVA (on a separate SAN) and use Secure path to manage paths connect to EVA and using Veritas DMP to manage paths to T3. Is this a support configuration by HP?
Thank you in advance

Re: Secure path and Veritas DPM co-existance on Solaris 8
You should have no problems as each pathing/RAID subsystem should work independently of each other... I have both an EVA like RAID (Amdahl LVS4600) and a HDS 9960 on a SAN and DMP did not at all complain about the Amdahl's SecurePath like software while it played DMP nicely with the HDS' mulipathed LUNs..
