Secure path Error and configuration

Hi.
I have a problem in using the secure path after configuring the cluster, Create a profile, after creating and logging in it says " Currently no information is avialable from any host on storage system 0". I have just setup an stand alone server with windows 2k Advance server and service pack 3 and configured MSA 1000 using ACU. i am able to see the disk created using the ACU in the OS.
If there a solve to resolve this issue.

Re: Secure path Error and configuration

What version of secure path are you running ?.

What Firmware revison is currently running on your MSA1000 ?

FYI there have been issues with Service Pack 3 & securepath in general.

Re: Secure path Error and configuration

What version of secure path are you running ?. - 3.1B

What Firmware revison is currently running on your MSA1000 ? - 2.38

FYI there have been issues with Service Pack 3 & securepath in general.

Still the problem is persisting.

2.38 requires SecurePath v4.0

Re: Secure path Error and configuration

There is an issue with using Win2K SP3 and SecurePath and MSA1000. Please see the Customer Advisory (link below) for further information.

http://wwss1pro.compaq.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?countrycode=1000&prodid=117&source=OI021115_CW01.xml&dt=3&docid=13122

For the MSA1000, this problem has been fixed, however, I'm still waiting for the RA4100 fix (I'm facing this issue myself). The Advisory will have all the "version number" information that you require to run your configuration successfully.

Regards.

Re: Secure path Error and configuration

I have also installed this software on my new DL 380 cluster using the MSA 1000 and I am receiving the API error evening after upgrading to SPM ver 4.0a.

Please advise on the resolution to this.

Re: Secure path Error and configuration

The error "securepath installed in host is not an API version 7/6/5 compatabile" occurs because you are trying to lanch securepath v4 via the Secure path manager that was used by Ver 3. securepath 4 uses a broswer interface and you must have java loaded on the machine that uyou are using for SP access.
On you browser type http:\\localhost:2301

Hopefully this will help.
