Secure path failure events
We have secure path manager 4.0c7 running on the appliance. We have setup securepath manager to email us when a path fails. The problem is, we also get path failure emails when a server is rebooted. With hundreds of servers we are being deluged emails. Is there any way to configure SPM to send email only for real path failures and not reboots?
If it is about storage, I am interested.

Re: Secure path failure events
Have SPM send snmp traps to the appliance (127.0.0.1) and leave the email section blank.
Run "Local SAN Discovery" on the SMA.
SPM should now appear in the "Notification" section for the SMA. From here you can decide where you want to send emails and which ones you want to send for. Choose a user account.
Under "Users" on the SMA, add an email address for that user and configure the "Notification" section for that user.
Under "Network" on the SMA, configure the smtp mail server settings.

Re: Secure path failure events
I have done all of this. That is how I am able to receive the alerts. The problem is, I receive the event below when a path failure occurs or when a server is rebooted. I only wish to be notified when a path failure occurs. I don't care when any of our hundreds of servers get rebooted. I think this is a bug with the secure path agent that will never be fixed. I hope I am wrong.
thanks
