SecurePath - how to select the preferred controller
Can somebody please advise how I can change the preferred controller in SecurePath?
I have a misalignment between servers that the preferred controller is not that one that is connected to the "active" swith.
I want to realign this.
What would be the correct procedure to change the status without confusing the other servers.
Shut down server
Unplug cables
change the referred active controller though management website
shut down server
reconnect cables
power up again
??
Kind regards
Christian

Re: SecurePath - how to select the preferred controller
Dear Christian,
Login to secure path manager and add the host profile to that . If you have dual controllers, you can view two controllers and assigned disks . If you want to change the preferred path from one controller to another , right click on one disk and say "move to another controller" . Thats your problem get solved.

Using this command
Usage: spmgr select [option]
options:

-p [-f]
example : spmgr select -c $CTL_SN -d $DEV
you can use : spmgr display to see more
