SecurePathAgent event log entry

Does anyone know what the following error indicates:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: SecurePathAgent
Event Category: Services
Event ID: 6
Date: 9/24/2004
Time: 7:16:41 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DSB

Re: SecurePathAgent event log entry

A first guess to this problem would be that either the SPM server configuration file is missing/read-only, or the SPM client profile file is missing/read-only.

Re: SecurePathAgent event log entry

I have been getting a similar event ID: 6 error message anytime I launch the Secure Path Manager

Type: Error
Source: SecurePathAgent
Event ID: 6
Event Time: 9/23/2004 5:00:59 PM
User: n/a
Computer:
Description: VR SDAPI.dll not found!

Did you find a fix. I have tried to copy the SDAPI.dll file to the root of the VR folder still no luck.

Thanks

Re: SecurePathAgent event log entry

What is your configuration?

That event ID indicates that the number of multipath devices excedes the number of devices supported by SecurePath.

What version of SP do you have? How many HBA's are installed locally? Is zoning set up? Need more information on your config.

Re: SecurePathAgent event log entry

Hey, sorry for the delay to reply.

We have an EVA5000 with 2 NAS E7000 W2K SP4 that are MSCS. Dual HBAâ s in both of the NAS heads. SPM is 4.0c Build 93 and we have one 1 zone for our NAS_SAN fusion.

The errors only occur when we launch SP Manage
