Silkworm 3800 Com port?
Is there anything special to this? Anyone know how to reset the switch to factory defaults?

Re: Silkworm 3800 Com port?
If I remember right, they only use 3 pins. tx, rx and gnd. A null modem cable may not work. I had to recover a password on a few 3800's last month and couldn't get in w/ my null modem cable. If I see my notes on the pinouts again, I'll post it.

Re: Silkworm 3800 Com port?
Can anyone post a link to the brocade document with the right pinouts? I can make the cable, but need to know the proper pin connections?
Also,
any advice on changing the password?
THANK YOU ALL!!

Re: Silkworm 3800 Com port?
I attached a word doc with pin-outs, etc. in previous reply, but here it is again...
Brocade serial pin-out for cable connections:
DB9 to DB9
Pin2 to pin2
Pin3 to pin3
Pin5 to pin5
Use hyperterm
Baud 9600, 8 bit, no parity, 1 stop bit and set terminal emulation to VT100 mode!!
Connect cable up to serial port and power on switch, selftest should echo to display
Regards,
Louis
