Size spare disks on HSG80

We have 9GB, 18GB, 72GB and 142GB disks on a HSG80 SAN and we have spare disks with the same size (9GB, 18GB, 72GB and 142GB).

Can we have only 142GB spare disks to replace 9GB, 18GB, and 72GB disks or spare disks must be of the same size that storage disks?.

Yes, a spare disk can be larger that the replacement disk. Most storage sets have a replacement policy where you can choose BEST_PERFORMANCE (try to take a different bus) or BEST_FIT (try to match the size of the defective disk).
