Re: Storage
Dear Hari,
Lots of steps are involved in this. It's better to take help from ur Service Provider or to refer some McData documents.
Anyway let me give a summary on this:
* Before doing any changes, take config backup of Brocade.
* Enable the "interopmode" on brocade switch
* Enable R_Ready of the Port connected to the Router.
On the McData router side,
==========================
* u've to confiure the FC port as R_PORT for iSAN.
* Configure Router's Inband IP Address
* Configure the TCP port as iFCP for mSAN connectivity.
- Configure external IP
- Configure Internal IP
Note: iFCP Int. IP Address & Router's Inband IP Addresses should be in the same network.
* Start the iFCP connection.
Thanks & Regds,
Saravanan

Re: Storage
To Access Brocade related docs,
If you are a customer pls register urself in the following URL,
http://www.brocade.com/SIC/Sic_RegEclOne.jsp?pgN=SAN%20Info%20Center&pgR=/san
If you are a partner (ex: HP,IBM), register urself & get a partner account
http://partner.brocade.com/siteminderagent/forms/login.fcc?TYPE=33554433&REALMOID=06-3d52ee84-cb26-001d-0000-1f8d00001f8d&GUID=&SMAUTHREASON=0&METHOD=GET&SMAGENTNAME=$SM$dBaPsFa3WPIPqrYIZ1wU5%2fFkVfGyFtbtMqdD5MX6d0W1PJmu2UB5MA%3d%3d&TARGET=$SM$http%3a%2f%2fpartner%2ebrocade%2ecom%2findex%2ejsp
Once registered, u'll have the access to resources, tools etc. For further details pls vistit,
http://www.brocade.com/
It's very difficult to get the Hitachi (HDS) documents. Even i'm also looking for HDS storage product docs.

Re: Storage
is there any way of login id like brocade to get access to those doucments, what i saw is even hp/ibm/sun etc is also promoting brocade silkworm switch, MCdata router and hitachi for there SAN solutions.
i saw in all sites of hp ibm and sun, porper documentation is given apart from MCDATA routers.
Is there any way to create login id once we became customers of hitachi like brocade silkworm.
thanks in advance
