Command View 6.02.
The Command View EVA service is hung in “starting” mode. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
The CV server is a brand new build: Windows 2003 Server SP1.
I uninstalled and reinstalled but even the new install comes up hung in starting mode.

Solution
It is possible that the EVA does no longer run in a valid master/slave controller combination and it is necessary to restart at least one controller.
Log a call with HP - they might be able to assist you to choose the correct controller to restart.

Re: The Command View EVA service is hung in “starting” mode
I've seen this once. There was a disk failure and it caused the Command View to hang. It didn't help to restart the Master Controller, I had to reboot the EVA. After the reboot the Command View started properly.

All,
Thank you for the reply. I restarted the controller and CV came up.
