The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, is not ready for access yet.
Dear Sirs,
I have the following configuration:
Emulex TP7000 HBA
HSG80
RA 8000
Compaq Proliant 6400R
MS-Windows 2000 Standard Server
for a week the following event appearing in the eventlog:
"The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, is not ready for access yet. "
This message repeating many times in log.
If the server is rebooted then working well for 1-2 days. Then repeating the situation.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks
Attila

Re: The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, is not ready for access yet.
Attila, most probably you have "degrading" harddisks on your RaidArray.
Looking at the "serial console log" event, Port: 1. Target: 3. LUN: 0, Unit Number: 4.(0004); it's shown that the message "The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, is not ready for access yet. " is logged in the server that uses unit D4. The degrading disk is Disk10300 (using port, target,LUN naming convention)
After replacement of the disk, you should see that the event should not be repeating again.
