To differentiate HBA in W2K3 server
Hi all,
1 out of 2 KGPSA HBA card in the server is degraded. This can be seen from data loss in event viewer (system) under CPQKGPSA soure; where it says "The device, \Device\Scsi\CPQKGPSA2, is not ready for access yet."
From my W2K3 server, is there any way identifying to which HBA this event is indicating?
Thanks in advance.

Re: To differentiate HBA in W2K3 server
If this is a proliant server, you should have the insight agents installed. Use "HP System Management Homepage" to view the status of the system.
Also, all HBA have a LED. Check the LED status of the adapter.

Re: To differentiate HBA in W2K3 server
Hi Ivan,
Thanks for your reply. But this does not help much as the HBA is not tottaly down, its degraded where we have this problem intermeternly.
As for the HP MGMT page and LED, all indicate that the HBA working fine.
I am looking for the faulty HBA so we could get it replaced before it actually 'dies'.
Thanks.
