Unable to connect msa 1000 to my switch and network
1- i can't access the cli in front , when i open the hyper terminal it doesnt nothing
i type and i have some stage logo carracter and can't do nothing
2- i was able to connect via the web interface and i have give it 2 ip adress , on for the ethernet and on for the fiber. the problem is all my 4 or 5 fiber port are connect to eatch server and the data is trasfer to the san because part of my sys(volume) NOVELL, is on the san. but when i try to connect the fiber port with the ip , on the switch (cisco c6506-E) i doesn't work. i see one green and on amber led on the san port. i put the speed to auto negociate and i don't work.
I try to swap the cable but the cable work if use it to connect server to the san , but not to the switch
any idea what could be the problem. I thing is't the speed between the swith and the sand or duplex but i am not sure.
I just don't understand why the console port doesn't work ,,, i use the hp cable with
the standard connection
9600
no parity
etc....(standard swith and router connection)
