Hi all,
Is there anyone know how to update the firmware through the serial port from the MSA1000/1500 controller from the Laptop?
If you know, please show me how.
Thanks

Re: Update firmware for MSA1000/1500
I am sure this is not possible.
u can either do an online update from a Windows/Linux host or do an offline update by booting from a cd from a server that is zoned in to have access to the controller.

Re: Update firmware for MSA1000/1500
Hi,
The easiest way is by clone the controller with the one that already with the newer version.
I use this for my MSA1000, just call HP and arrange the engineer come with the controller (with the newer version of firmware).
Hope this information can help you.
Cheers,
AW

Re: Update firmware for MSA1000/1500
Yes, I can do the offline and online update and clone.
The reason I want to do this from the serial, because I don't want to use host server.
I was thinking, it is possible to use the firmware from HPUX for the serial from the controller.
