update switch 2/8v (brocade 3250)

Hi, my name is Daniel and I have to update this switch from 4.2.2b to the lastone, the nextone firmware that appear in the webpage is the 4.4.0f and the question is if I can update from 4.2.2b to 4.2.2b, somebody can tell me which are the steps to arrive to the last firmware.

Your switch is EOL but you can still upgrade to 4.4.2b or the version available to you and supported.

Do not try to locate the release.plist file on your FTP server, its somewhat like an invisible file.

?? Looking at the "HP STORAGEWORKS B-SERIES FC SWITCH CONNECTIVITY STREAM" document in SPOCK*, the recommended firmware for a HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/8V appears to be v5.3.2c.
The update sequence would be: 4.2.2b > 4.4.xx > 5.0.xx > 5.2.xx > 5.3.2c

In the webpage of the switch only appears this versions of OS v4.4.0f v5.3.0d v5.3.1 v5.3.1a
v5.3.1b v5.3.2 v5.3.2b v5.3.2c. where can I find the version that you are mentioning.

When in doubt refer to the HP StorageWorks release notes for the given fw.

HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/16V (Brocade 3850)
HP StorageWorks SAN Switch 2/32 (Brocade 3900)
HP StorageWorks SAN Director 2/128 (Brocade 24000 Director)

So yes the Brocade 3250 (2/8V) is supported with 5.3.2c firmware.
For 5.3.2c and older interim fw you will also need: ftp://swsan:Rankles0@ftp.usa.hp.com
