VA7400 maximum LUN size
Hello,
does anybody know what the maximum LUN size is on a VA7400. Windows 2003 can support up to 2TB... can a VA7400 support a LUN of 2TB?

Re: VA7400 maximum LUN size
Hi,
I'm pretty sure the VA itself does not impose any size limit on a single lun except for what is the allocatable space in a redundancy group.
i.e. you can have two large luns, each as large as you have disks in the 2 RGs, minus reserved space for active hot spare and redundancy (RAID0+1/RAID5DP)
Regards,
Bernhard

Re: VA7400 maximum LUN size
Ok, for the VA7400 there is no problem, but what about the performance issues on Windows 2003 systems. I read the performance issue on HP-UX and this is pretty important. I would like to go for 2 LUN's of 1TB each. Probably some scsi-settings should be changed in the registry. If the default scsi-io is the same as on HP-UX, I'm going to have a problem, since at least 500 users will be accessing these LUNs at the same time. Anybody ??? Ideas ???
