VA7400 SNMP management

Hello again,

Could anybody tell me what's the best way to manage my VA7400 remotely from my desktop. I've got a full Compaq network and have always used Insight Manager to manage all my devices. Now I've got a HP VA7400 that's not compatible with Compaq Insight Manager. Any tips ? Can it be managed without extra software ? Properly ?

There is HP enterprise management smart plug in for Virtual Array but it does not work with Compaq Insight Manager (and you do not want to buy additional software). In this case the only possibility is to use web acces from your desktop to CommandView Server. To use it you have to install Java 1.3.1 on your desktop and enable your station to access commandview remotely in security file on commandview server (if you use commandview 1.03 that is all, if 1.02 you have to import HP certificate in your browser).
