Validation failed by running a snapshot job in RSM
Hello,
i want to clone/snapshot a host volume of a linux server.
I have the same job for a windows and for a linux server.
The windows server job works fine but the linux server job failed with this message:
Validation failed - no StorageVolumes found for \\vmoratest02\/bc
Has anyone an idea?
Thanks.

Re: Validation failed by running a snapshot job in RSM
We are encountering the same problem. I suspect it is something related to a combination of forward and backslashes in the string.
Has anybody found a solution for this?

Re: Validation failed by running a snapshot job in RSM
Hi
First check your host agent on the Linux server and see if everything is OK (check properties see if you can see HBA WWWN driver version etc.) also there are two ways to see volumes in RSM the first is hostvolume this means you see the EVA disk from the hosts point of view and for this you need a host agent you can also create a job using storagevolumes this is the same volume but from storage point of view and it does not require a host agent.
Also you can do a manual snapshot or clone via RSM interface this creates a temporary job that you can copy.
