Virtual Array not recognized n HPUX
I have a VA 2400 (A6214-60100) attached to an HP L2000 (HP-UX maycardb B.11.11 U 9000/800) over a fiber network. I have SDM 1.09.02. When I run armdiscover, the drives are located, but evidently not the array. armdsp -i returns no devices found. All of the drives are visible in ioscan, but not any LUNS. This array does not have a serial interface, so I am unable to run VFP. I have deleted the device database, restarted HADial and even attemtped from another server.

Re: Virtual Array not recognized n HPUX
I assume you have a typo and it's VA7400. so we'll go with that. Does the array have a LUN 0 (configration LUN, typically 10MB in size) that is visable to that host? I would check on that first. HP-UX likes to see that LUN for management of the array.
Sincerely,
Curt

Re: Virtual Array not recognized n HPUX
The issue was that we only have interface cards. Evidently this array was a slave. I have ordered the proper controller cards. I appreciate your response.
