Windows EVA Platformkits
Current 3.0F version is outdated with drivers and firmwares. Are that really needed if using SSD=PSP in Proliant servers?
P.S. This thread has been moved from General to Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise). - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: Windows EVA Platformkits
You should use the latest drivers available for your device. In this case, the specific driver you want (from the platform kit) does not generally come packaged with the PSP. You should download the latest HBA driver as it contains all the files necessary to talk to all/most StorageWorks Storage systems.
I would not use the Platform kit until a new version is released, if released... or if you need to support older hardware/software.

Re: Windows EVA Platformkits
But supportmatrix (bios, firmware, driver) for EVA5000 for those FCAs cannot get with Platform kit.
I have installed Platform kit and update fw and drivers right after that, but is there any meaning to use Platformkit overall.

Re: Windows EVA Platformkits
The platform kit installs an older driver that what is available. You do not need to install the platform kit at all, it is just a collection of software and drivers specific to the EVA or other Storage Platform.
I do not use the platform kit at all as I just go with the latest SCSIport or STORport driver depending on what I need.
PSP 7.4 does not include the same qlogic driver v9.0.2.11 - cp005268 package unless it is included in another Smart Component.
Yes, it is listed in the Fibre Drivers section, but it does not contain all the necessary files, or so it seems, that are needed to address all the different StorageWorks products.
The short story still remains, forget the Platform kit for now, install the PSP after a new build then install the specific Smart Component Driver paq for your hba. Reboot and you should be set.
