Windows Server 2003 folder shares and SANs

I have noticed that if I mounted a LUN to a 2003 server, create a folder, share it, and then pull the LUN out from Windows and put it back (without rebooting) that the folder no longer comes up shared. I have to reboot the server for the folder to be re-shared.

Normally this isn't a problem, but sometimes server boot faster than the storage array or switches, and so the LUN gets mounted after Windows boots.

ANyone know a way around this?
