Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V Cluster, Cluster Shared Volumes, MSA P2000 VSS
Hello there!
We have a two node Windows Server 2008 R2 Ent. based Hyper-V Cluster with Cluster Shared Volumes and one HP MSA P2000 G3 SAS SAN.
We want to backup our VMs with backup exec hyper-v agent and VSS.
A snappool is configured, the LUNs are master-volumes.
We configured the key StandardVolumesAreSupported = 0.
As Backup Exec starts the following errors are logged:
CAPIVSSProvider AreLunsSupported(): called for not available partition LUN(...) device name=\\.\PHYSICALDRIVE0
VDS Basic Provider: unexpected error 490@01010004
VSS error 12298: E/A not saved
Deallocation[0x80042314] Time limit exeeded
VOLSNAP error 8
After the backup fails the cluster shared volume remains in state online (backup)
When using the web configuration of msa during the backup we are able to see the snapshots created by Backup Exec.
But after some seconds the snapshots are deleted.
Do you have some ideas?
Any help would be appreciated!
Oliver
