XP1024 or EVA5000?
We are looking to upgrade our storage systems to either the XP1024 or EVA5000 with 10 TB of storage to start. Our main concerns are Reliability, Scalability, and Performance.
This new system will be used for both an OpenVMS cluster and Wintel storage. The main application on OpenVMS uses the RMS file system but plan on converting that to Oracle within 2-3 years.
We also run nearly 3000 batch jobs every night, which most are all I/O intensive jobs.
Any information on these systems would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. This thread has been moved from General to Storage Area Networks (SAN) (Enterprise). - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: XP1024 or EVA5000?
if you concern Reliabbility, Scalability and Performance, xp is the best solution. Consider newest generation of xp family, the xp12000. The same price as xp1024, but much much better.

Zygmunt
