Query: Trouble setting up VIP for MapR NFS3 servers

I'm trying to setup the NFS vip setup for my MapR hadoop cluster, i did followed the MapR documentation but for some reason it's asking the Ending Virtual IP. I've a existing VIP with MAC address and 3 nodes in backend. Can i use that existing VIP ip with mac address to setup VIP for NFS servers HA Failover? if not how do i setup this processs, can someone please let me know. do i need to create new VIP with NFS backend servers if that's the case what kinf of LB methd i need to follow.

Command i've used to add NFS VIP

maprcli virtualip add -cluster test -macs "00:xx:00:jh:a0:10 00:x5:xx:nc:xx:xx" -netmask 255.255.255.0 -virtualip 1.xx.xx.xxx -preferredmac "0x:xx:xx:00:xx:0x"

If only one VIP is going to be added , then start Vip and endVip would be the same IP.

Thank you. I've added the same ip in both start and end virtual ip it's succesfully added in MCS. but in MCS it's showing as Pending. now i try to mount the cluster with vip ip address it's timing out not doing anything. Below is the commamnd i am using

mount -o nolock vip_ip:/mapr/test /mapr/test it's not mounting

Do i need to open any specific ports to mount the cluster on VIP or any other steps i need to follow to mount the cluster with vip address so that i can filover the NFS between nodes
