Provisioning Instance on Openstack

"Hello Morpheus Team,

We’ve integrated OpenStack Cloud with Morpheus and are provisioning machines through the catalog. However, the process gets stuck in the ‘Resource Provisioning’ state and times out after 10-12 minutes, displaying a ‘Create Server Null’ error.

Despite this, the machine continues to deploy in the background and eventually reaches a running state after 20-25 minutes. We’ve observed this issue with both instance provisioning and Docker cluster deployment.

It appears that Morpheus terminates the provisioning process after 10 minutes if the instance isn’t created in the cloud. If the instance is created within this timeframe, the process proceeds as expected.

Could you please guide us on how to increase the machine provisioning timeout or retry time settings in Morpheus? We’d like to extend the resource provisioning wait time to prevent premature timeouts."

I have not seen this behavior, but I would recommend opening a support ticket at https://support.morpheusdata.com

Re: Provisioning Instance on Openstack

I'm experiencing the same issue when I provision a Windows Server VM in OpenStack that is from an Image in my provider's Public Images.

I really need to extend the provisioning timeout, but I have not been able to find a setting anywhere to extend the timeout when provisioning a new instance in Morpheus.

Did you create a support case?  If yes, what was the outcome?

Is there a way to extend the provisioning timeout to account for downloading larger images from Glance?

Thx
