Creating an instance (datastore)
In the configuration options for creating an instance, there should be a section for volumes where you can select the storage location.
The default is "Auto-Datastore". If it's Auto, where will it be saved? Also, are there any settings that affect the storage location?
*This is a machine translation, so I apologize if it's difficult to understand.

Re: Creating an instance (datastore)
Hello dya,
The feature "Auto - Datastore" available while provisioning an instance will choose the datastore based on capacity unless manually selected.

Re: Creating an instance (datastore)
Thank you for your reply.
Does Auto mean that the area with the most free space will be selected?

Re: Creating an instance (datastore)
Hello dya,
It's more to storage capacity than free space available.

Re: Creating an instance (datastore)
Thank you for your reply.
Does this mean that the area with the larger capacity will be selected?
In that case, it seems possible that an area with less free space will be selected even if it is large in capacity, which is scary.

Re: Creating an instance (datastore)
Hello Dya,
Its just a feature to select the datastore but you always have an option to override this manually when you are aware about storage capacity/free space .

Re: Creating an instance (datastore)
Yes, I normally do this manually, but I'd like to know specifically how you select the datastore.
