Deployment Archive Target

I added an NFS server to [Infrastructure] - [Storage] - [File Sharing].

I'm not sure about the following two settings. Could you please explain them?

Second, I can't imagine what exactly "deploy archive" means.

1. Updating an existing backup
2. Default deployment archive target

This is a machine translation, so I apologize if it's difficult to understand.

Re: Deployment Archive Target

1. Updating Existing Backups :

  • This option is only visible when you select  "Default Backup Target" in the File Share.
  • "Default Backup Target" means that this share is from now on the default Target for all new backup configurations/jobs that will be created.
  • "Updating Existing Backups" means that the existing backup configurations/jobs will be updated to use this share as target (instead of possibly another target that was configured in the jobs).

2. Default Deployment Archive Target:

This is something that is not applicable in HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, but is only used in HPE Morpheus Enterprise.  It is used as a repository for PaaS where you can store applications etc.
You can set an File Share as "Default Deployment Archive Target", but it has no function in VME.

Re: Deployment Archive Target

Thank you.

Regarding the "Default Deployment Archive Target,"
if it cannot be used with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, I would like it to be hidden from the UI and removed from the documentation.
I think having an unusable function visible in the UI is confusing.
